Can you imagine how much easier and (most likely) less congested our downtown streets would be if we had another subway line?  Just imagine.

Apparently we, the City of Toronto, had our chances (and the opportunities passed) to have another subway line along Queen Street.  In both 1912 and 1946 the motion came up and was rejected once (1912) and approved later (1946) but never built.   Mark Osbaldeston’s, in his second volume of Unbuilt Toronto, lays out more of the details.  Check out the article below by the Toronto Standard for some great highlights.
