This Weekend in Toronto: February 24-26

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?  Well if you are here are a few of my suggestions and have a great weekend!

Bloor Yorkville Icefest:

In its seventh year this is an event that will be enjoyable for the entire family!  Complete with an Ice Log Cabin paying homage to Canadian parklands and featuring carved totem trees, raccoons, jack rabbits and much more, all made from 35,000 pounds of ice.

Canadian International Auto Show:

This is the last weekend of the yearly event.  Taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, it’s a great event for car enthusiasts.  They even have a family rate this year of $40 (2 adults and 2 children) and children under 6 are free.

ROM:

The Royal Ontario Museum has some great stuff going on right now.  You can go and check out the Maya: Secrets of their ancient world exhibit all weekend long.  As well, tomorrow is the ROM’s African and Caribbean Cultural Heritage Day, with live music and dance from 11:00 until 1:30, kids activities and hands-on crafts from 10:00 until 2:00 and gallery tours throughout the day.
