Walking on the edge: CN Tower’s lastest attraction EdgeWalk opening August 1st

So if you're looking for a way to spend your holiday Monday AND you are a bit of a thrill seeker, here is the answer.  Starting Monday the much anticipated EdgeWalk at the CN Tower will open.  If you're interested, be prepared to get suited up in a lovely fire engine red jumpsuit with an industrial strength yellow harness (one report I saw stated that it could hold the weight of a bus…my thoughts are that one can only hope it does!) and walk hands free along a ledge around the top of the main pod.  The views are apparently spectacular, with rumors that you can see not only Buffalo and Niagara Falls but Detroit as well (seems a bit far, but who knows).

The cost is $175 and the walk itself takes 20 to 30 minutes.  The whole suiting up, removal of dangerous objects (bobby pins and earrings can be disastrous for those standing on the ground)  and instructional process brings the total time up to 90 minutes.

This activity hasn't made it's way onto my bucket list, but if it's on yours check out this link for more information on tickets and have fun.
