Shopping Locally: So where’s your local Farmers’ Market?

It's that time of year again that local produce is available and the local markets can start to open up.  Over the past 5 years our city has seen a huge amount of Farmers’ Markets open.  Undoubtedly providing some of the freshest produce our city has access to and with at least 30 of these markets in the city (and a little menu planning) it's almost more convenient then going to the grocery store!

It really doesn't matter what part of the city you live in at this point there is most likely a market somewhere near you.  If you're in the downtown area you have Trinity Bellwoods, if you're in the west you have the Etobicoke Market, in the east Withrow Market and in the north end the North York Civic Centre Market.  The city's newest market is set to open on the east side in Leslieville on June 5th at Queen Street East and Woodward.
